The teaser trailer is 1 minute 29 seconds. As it is a documentary film it mostly consists of previously filmed shots of Amy Winehouse. The teaser shows some of these clips slowly zooming out to show a collage. The sound is slow string music and faintly one of her songs 'back to black'. Clips of her talking are also heard. These clips of her talking are particularly have particular impact because of what she is saying. Overall the teaser has a very nostalgic feel which will draw in the audience and make them want to see more.

The theatrical trailer is 2 minutes 15 seconds. It starts a lot more optimistic than the teaser. A video montage of Amy Winehouse smiling and her song 'back to black' playing loudly gives it a happier feel. However towards the end the music slows down and becomes fainter. This change of mood lets the audience see the progression of Winehouse's mental state which is shown more clearly in the film. Voice over clips of different people talking about Winehouse are played, making it clear this is a documentary.
