This teaser trailer is 54 seconds. It is different to other teasers as no shots from the actual film are shown. Only an animation of the well known batman logo. This is accompanied with intense music and some lines of dialogue from the film. As the batman franchise is already a well known one this teaser may intrigue people more than showing shots from the film.

The theatrical trailer is 2 minutes 30 seconds, which is considerably longer than the teaser. Important shots from the film are put in without giving away too much. A lot of focus is put on the joker, using his dialogue as the voice over a lot. This is because his character is perhaps the biggest selling point for the film. Many dramatic sound effects are used along with dramatic music to show the tense action nature of the film. The main characters are shown and some of their dialogue is put in as well.
