TRAILER 2 - 127 HOURS
127 HOURS
The teaser trailer for 127 hours is 1 minute 42 seconds which is slightly long for a teaser trailer but it still succeeds in teasing the audience. There are short shots of other successful films from the director, Danny Boyle. This is because he is a well known director and can attract the attention of audiences that enjoyed his other films. Most of the trailer focuses on the beginning of the film. Only with the last shot is the actual story line slightly revealed. This helps tease the audience as they are left with one dramatic shot, wanting to know more.
The theatrical trailer is 2 minutes 34 seconds. Both trailers utilise split screens a lot. This means more shots can fit into the trailer. The plot is developed more for the audience and so is the main character. This trailer focuses more on the actual plot of the film and the characters predicament. Many short statements are shown in text to engage the audience and make them curious of what will happen.
